"We are a dealer for SEI replacement sterndrives. We started selling them in the Fall of 2004 with better than 1,000 sterndrives sold to very happy customers. Shipping and returns:
Shipping:
We will make every effort to get your items to you as quickly as possible. Orders placed before 10 AM (EST) will normally be shipped by the next day. Sterndrives and other items may take longer for packaging and preparation and may take up to 48 hours to ship. If an item will no ship within this timely manner we will contact you. Please note: You will be given several shipping options at checkout. You may choose a carrier based on anticipated delivery times. Important: If an item is needed quickly please indicate this immediately after placing the order by email support@dockpartner.com or by calling (440) 549-5671.
Shipping times are approximate, factors beyond our control not limited to electronic systems, servers, power outages, weather, acts of God, etc. may delay shipping. We will make every attempt to advise you of any potential problems, if known, we may have options available to rectify the problem.
While we do our very best to keep items in stock. Orders may have been placed before yours that deplete on hand quantity's. If your item is not in stock, you will be given the option to wait (we have several suppliers) until the item is replenished, or given the option of a refund for paid orders. Some items may be shipped directly from the manufacturer. These manufacturers may have factors that delay shipping as well. We will at all times, try our very best to get you your products in a timely manner.
All items shipped from Dockpartner are inspected prior to shipment. We suggest that our customers also inspect the items before accepting delivery. If products appear to be damaged in shipment, do not accept delivery, if your order is delivered without a signature and damage is found, please call us immediately. Most carriers require claims to be filed within 10 days of delivery. We work hard to insure that our customers receive their orders undamaged, and can assist you in filling a claim, but our responsibility for damage ends when the carrier accepts the shipment. Therefore it is important to quickly file claims with the carrier to insure that your claim can be documented for later reimbursement.
Returns:
If you are dissatisfied with an order and wish to return or exchange items, you need to contact us by e-mail returns@dockpartner.com or phone (440) 549-5671 prior to the return to obtain return authorization(Items that are not returnable are listed separately below.) Items must be returned to Dockpartner (or the manufacturer in the case of drop shipments) within 30 days from the date you received the order.
Although Dockpartner accepts returns and exchanges with most items, some returns may be subject to a minimum restocking fee of 10% of the price of the item. This mostly applies to drop-shipped items from some manufacturers that have a restocking fee. Dockpartner will inform you of any necessary restocking fees at the time of the issuance of the return authorization.
All items being returned must be in new condition with undamaged original manufacturer's packaging and accessories. Do not write return numbers, addresses or any other marks directly on manufacturer's original packaging. These packages need to be kept in new and resalable condition.
Customers are responsible for the shipping costs for returns and/or exchanges. All items returned in non-resalable condition, or have missing parts, upon inspection will be charged an additional restocking fee, at our discretion.
If the return is a result of our error or a manufacturing defect, you still need to contact our Returns Department by e-mail or phone prior to the return to obtain return authorization, and have the items returned within 30 days from the date you received the items.
Software, electronic charts, electronics, engine ignition components, custom control cables, clearance and sales items, and most special orders are not returnable unless damaged or defective, or in the event errors are made by us or the manufacturer.
If you receive one of the above products and believe it to be damaged or defective you must call us within 30 days of receiving the product. Please see above conditions for return.

Free Shipping :
FREE shipping:
Free shipping on all orders shipped to US (U.S. lower 48 states) addresses over $100. (USD). Order amount subject to change, currently $100. Free shipping promotion applies to standard shipping methods only. If expedited shipping is chosen at checkout and free shipping is applied shipping method reverts to standard shipping. Free shipping only applies to orders $100 or more shipped to U.S. addresses. Free shipping applies to the order amount (items ordered) NOT the total amount including shipping, taxes, or insurance.
Insurance ($5.98) will be added to all orders. This covers shipping insurance as well as additional costs for smaller split orders.
Please note: This promotion applies to most in stock items. Some oversize, overweight, special order, or drop ship items may incur extra shipping charges. You will be contacted after checkout with additional charges, if any.

Secure purchases:
Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
When checking out, your information such as credit card number and/or billing address, is encrypted and protected with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption software. While on a secure page, such as our order form, most browsers will display a lock or key icon on the status bar at the bottom indicating that the page is secure. Also, in the address window "http" changes to "https" on secure pages.
In addition to our use of SSL encryption and firewalls to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user information off-line. All user information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Your information will never be given or sold to a third party without your permission.

Order Tracking:
Check and Track your order
You will receive a confirmation email from Dockpartner. This email will contain a order # with a link to track your order. You may either follow the link in the email or return to our homepage http://www.dockpartner.com. Near the bottom of the home page click on "track order". In either case if your item(s) were shipped the carrier's tracking and/or delivery confirmation numbers will be available. Please note: some shipments such as USPS Parcel Post and International shipments will have no tracking information available. Products which come from outside shippers may not have tracking information available. We will provide this information if and when it becomes available.

Add or remove items from your order
You may add to an order or remove items yourself up until the time the order is marked paid. If, after the order is paid you would like to add or remove items please call us. Sterndrive Engineering Adopts Three Year Fault-free Warranty
Clearwater, Florida -- Sterndrive Engineering Inc. (SEI) announced today that the warranty on it's sterndrives has been changed from a one year limited warranty to a three year fault-free warranty. "We believe this new warranty is the best in the sterndrive industry" said Greg Pickren, President SEI. "Nobody that we know of offers a three year fault-free warranty on sterndrives" he added. "After selling tens of thousands of these drives over the past three years and doing extensive testing at our research facility, we are very confident in the product. It's only natural at this point to extend our warranty� stated Justin Webb, SEI's General Manager. "Our drives have always been the most economical. Now they also have a great warranty." added Ericka Kegg, SEI's Sales Manager.
The three year fault-free warranty covers any damage to the drive that requires it to be repaired or replaced including failures resulting from lack of oil, fishing line, impact, neglect, and other abuse.
LIMITED WARRANTY OF STERNDRIVE ENGINEERING
Effective September 18, 2006
1. WARRANTY. All products sold by Sterndrive Engineering (�Sterndrive�) are warranted for either a period of one (1) year or
three (3) years from the date of actual purchase. A condition precedent to the enforcement of these warranties is proof of purchase of the Sterndrive product.
Satisfactory evidence of purchase must be supplied by customer prior to receiving warranty benefits hereunder. These one (1) year and three (3) year warranties
against defects in material and workmanship are the sole and exclusive warranty provided by Sterndrive, and all other warranties and potential damages are
limited and excluded hereunder, as set forth below. These warranties commence on the shipment date of products sold by Sterndrive to purchaser or upon the
date of purchase from a properly authorized Sterndrive dealer to its customer.
2. WARRANTIES LIMITED TO MANUFACTURED GOODS. Sterndrive offers a three (3) year fault free warranty on
assembled sterndrive halves (upper and lower) and a one (1) year warranty on all other parts. These warranties do not apply to any repairs, alterations, or work
undertaken by third parties not involved in the actual manufacturing of the product. Sterndrive's three (3) year fault free warranty covers any failure that would
require repair or replacement. Sterndrive's one year warranty does not apply to damages or problems caused by removal of parts, adjustments to the product,
tune ups, normal wear and tear, damages caused by accidents, improper use of the product, improper installation or service of the product, misuse, neglect,
improper maintenance, or operation with fluids, fuels, lubricants, oils, or other such items which are not suitable for use with the product or otherwise not
recommended for the product by Sterndrive. Sterndrive's one year warranty also does not warrant or make representations with respect to installation errors, work
by servicing dealers, servicing mechanics, or others, and does not cover damage caused by acts of God, flood, fire, storms, or other natural acts or disasters.
Both warranties specified herein are null and void in the event that the model number and other identification numbers on the product have been altered, defaced,
removed, or eliminated or the product has been disassembled in any manner with out prior authorization by Sterndrive. Neither one (1) year nor three (3) year
warranty covers use of the product for racing or other competitive activities. The manufacturer offers no warranty with respect to the rental or use of the product
for commercial purposes, or in the event of intentional destruction.
3. EXCLUSION OF OTHER WARRANTIES. THE WARRANTIES OFFERED BY STERNDRIVE AGAINST DEFECTS IN
WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS ARE THE EXCLUSIVE WARRANTIES OFFERED BY MANUFACTURER. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, AND WARRANTIES FOR FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY EXCLUDED . STERNDRIVE OFFERS NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE
FACE OF THIS DOCUMENT. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREUNDER, ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OF WHATSOEVER NATURE,
INCLUDING WARRANTIES ARISING UNDER THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE AND UNDER STATE AND FEDERAL LAW ARE EXCLUDED. SUBJECT
TO THE ONE (1) YEAR WARRANTY HEREUNDER, PURCHASER ACCEPTS THE PRODUCT �AS IS� AND �WITH ALL FAULTS,� AS MAY BE THE CASE.
STERNDRIVE MAKES NO WARRANTIES, GUARANTIES, OR REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING THE RELIABILITY OR USE OF THE PRODUCT EXCEPT
AS SET FORTH HEREUNDER.
4. LIMITATION OF DAMAGES. STERNDRIVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO THE USER OR PURCHASER OF ITS
PRODUCTS, FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES OF ANY TYPE. THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY TO THE USER OR BUYER,
AND THE LIMIT OF LEGAL LIABILITY OF STERNDRIVE HEREUNDER, SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF ANY DEFECTIVE PARTS OR THE REPAIR OF
ANY AND ALL DEFECTIVE MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF DEFECTIVE WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS SHALL BE
THE EXCLUSIVE AND SOLE REMEDY PROVIDED TO USER AND/OR PURCHASER. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL STERNDRIVE OR ITS
DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, SHAREHOLDERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO PURCHASER OR USER FOR ANY SPECIAL OR INDIRECT
DAMAGES INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR THE LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, PERSONAL INJURY, AND GENERAL
COMMERCIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES ARISING OUT OF THE INABILITY TO USE OR OPERATE THE PRODUCT.
STERNDRIVE�S MAXIMUM LIABILITY TO USER OR PURCHASER, FOR DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE, REGARDLESS
OF THE TYPE OF CLAIM, INCLUDING BREACH OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, PRODUCT LIABILITY, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, SHALL BE STRICTLY
LIMITED TO THE PURCHASE PRICE ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE STERNDRIVE PRODUCT. ALL WARRANTIES PROVIDED HEREUNDER ARE GRANTED
SOLELY BY STERNDRIVE, AND NO MODIFICATION OF THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE VALID, UNLESS REDUCED IN WRITING AND APPROVED BY THE
DIRECTORS OF STERNDRIVE. NO THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING DEALER, SERVICE AGENTS, WORKMEN, OR THE LIKE MAY MAKE ANY ACTUAL OR
IMPLIED MODIFICATION, EXTENSION, OR REVISION TO THIS WARRANTY PLAN. THIS WARRANTY IS INTENDED TO LIMIT THE RIGHTS OF ANY USER
OR PURCHASER TO THE ONE (1) YEAR WARRANTY SET FORTH HEREIN AND SHALL BE STRICTLY CONSTRUED TO ACCOMPLISH THAT OBJECTIVE.
5. NOTIFICATION. All notices furnished to Sterndrive hereunder, including all notifications to Sterndrive of claims under the
aforementioned limited warranty, shall be furnished to Sterndrive at its principal offices located at 1401 North Myrtle Avenue, Clearwater, Florida 33755. You are
required to notify Sterndrive of any alleged defect to the product within the applicable warranty period; and you are also required to furnish such additional
information, warranty applications and other materials reasonably requested by Sterndrive in order to process your warranty claim. Your failure to furnish all
materials reasonably requested by Sterndrive shall void all warranty rights hereunder. Sterndrive will inspect and investigate your warranty claim; and only those
defects covered by the above written warranty will be repaired or replaced, in the sole discretion of Sterndrive. Should warranty service be required, you will be
responsible for delivering the product, at your expense, together with proof of purchase and other documentation requested by Sterndrive, to the repair facility
designated by Sterndrive for such repairs. All warranty claims herein must be furnished to Sterndrive, in writing, within a period of 14 days from buyer or user�s
discovery of any defect or problem covered hereunder. From the date of notice to Sterndrive, buyer or user must return the defective unit as instructed by
Sterndrive, within thirty (30) days from the date of first notice of defect; otherwise, all warranties hereunder are null and void.
6. TERMS OF PURCHASE. Purchaser agrees to be responsible for all freight charges for products received from or
returned to Sterndrive. In the event that a balance due becomes delinquent, Sterndrive will be entitled to recover late charges of 1½ percent per month until paid
in full, banking charges or a reasonable attorney�s fee and court costs where applicable. All refused or returned items must be received by Sterndrive in the same
condition (new and undamaged) and will be subject to freight charges and a 10% restocking fee. Purchaser agrees to waive the right to challenge or set aside any
lawful charge made by Sterndrive for the sale of its products or services.
7. VENUE FOR ENFORCEMENT. This Agreement is made in the State of Florida, and all products manufactured by
Sterndrive are sold at its principal offices in Clearwater, Florida. The limited warranties specified hereunder, and all rights and claims of user or buyer hereunder,
must be enforced in the State of Florida. Venue for the enforcement of this Agreement and for the resolution of any disputes between Sterndrive and its buyers or
users, including all suits to construe the terms of this Agreement, shall be adjudicated in Pinellas County, Florida. In the event that buyer or user asserts any
claims against Sterndrive, under these warranty plans or otherwise, and in the event that such claims are not resolved through direct negotiations between the
parties, then all such claims and disputes shall be subject to non-binding mediation in Pinellas County, Florida, as a condition precedent to buyer asserting any
legal action against Sterndrive. Said mediation shall be conducted by a certified mediator under the laws of the State of Florida, and each party shall be
responsible for paying an equal share of all mediation costs. This mandatory mediation shall be a condition precedent to the filing of any legal action or lawsuit,
and the terms of this Agreement shall be enforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction.
8. GENERAL TERMS. The terms and conditions of the limited warranty plans set forth hereunder are a part of the bargain
between the parties hereto, and are material to setting the price of sale of Sterndrive�s products. The terms and conditions set forth hereunder constitute the entire
agreement and transaction between the parties; and all prior discussions, negotiations, telephone conferences, dealings, course of conduct, and other
relationships between the parties are hereby merged into this Agreement. This Agreement shall supercede all prior negotiations and dealings between the parties,
and time shall be of the essence in construing the terms hereof. By concluding the transaction between the parties, buyer and Sterndrive agree to all of the terms
and conditions set forth hereinabove.
Warranty procedure
1. In the event that you have a problem with your Sterndrive within 3 years of purchase, you will need to contact our Warranty Manager at 727-461-0811. Please have your invoice and serial numbers readily available.
2. If your issue is within two weeks of purchase, SEI will send a call tag to pick up the sterndrive. If it is outside of two weeks, you will be responsible for shipping back to us. International customers are responsible for all shipping charges. Be SURE to fully insure your drive with your carrier for it's full value.
3. All shipping paid for by SEI will be ground service. If you need it expedited you will have to pay all shipping charges.
4. Once SEI receives the unit we will inspect it to verify that it is a manufacturing or assembly error. SEI will then repair or replace it at our discretion.
5. SEI will do our best to have it ready to ship back to you within two business days of receiving the warranty unit. In the event it will be delayed, SEI will contact you.
6. SEI cannot ship a replacement sterndrive until we receive the warranty unit.
7. If you send a complete drive to SEI, it will be shipped back to you in two boxes.

Can I replace this sterndrive myself?
These new sterndrives (or upper or lower unit if only replacing half) are completely assembled halves. The sterndrive is shipped in two halves to permit easier shipping. The sterndrive halves will have to be put together, filled with gear lube, and installed on the boat. No special tools or technical knowledge is necessary. We provide assembly and installation instructions as well as telephone/email support for every unit sold.

How do I know which model sterndrive I need?
We market two aftermarket replacement sterndrives for MerCruiser® powered products, the SE106 and the SE116 which replace the Alpha One® generation one and generation two, respectively. The Alpha Gen. One will replace older #1, R, MR, Pre-alpha and of course Alpha One generation one units up to 1990. This replacement is a heavier duty unit than the older pre-alpha units and will fit with no modifications.
The Alpha One® Generation two replacement is designed to completely replace the Mercruiser® original. Generation two sterndrives are from 1991 to present.
Both the gen. one and gen. two sterndrives come in 4 ratios to fit most applications, please consult the chart on the sterndrive page or give us a call. By counting the gear teeth in the upper unit (just remove the top cap) you can know for sure which ratio you have.

My dealer says it will cost more than double to rebuild my drive, how is this so cheap?
We have been in the marine business for more than 20 years. Past practice had always been to rebuild our customer's sterndrives. Typically the standard was to reuse shafts, cases, and other parts where possible. A failed sterndrive usually meant either the upper or the lower had failed, although sometimes both. The bad half would be rebuilt and the "good" half would be cleaned, inspected and resealed. Our costs would include shop labor and parts, a lower gear and bearing set with a seal kit for example is over $700. add to that the time and it becomes a much better choice for us to offer new products to our customers.
The new aftermarket sterndrives are reasonably priced due to economies of scale. The manufacturer in Florida builds thousands of sterndrives. Cases, shafts, bearings, gears, etc are sourced and purchased in huge quantitys. ALL parts meet or exceed original equipment specifications. Sterndrives are sold to the public without distributors marking the prices up further.

Can I be sure it will fit? What if I need replacement parts later?
Both model sterndrives are made to fit, look like, and operate just like the original. No modifications should be necessary. If you need parts in the future you could use original equipment or aftermarket parts.

These sterndrives are 100 percent brand new. No "reused" or questionable parts are used in the manufacturing process.
No core charge. We do not need your old drive. Many customers have sold them or parted them out on auction sites. In fact we no longer rebuild any sterndrives unless they are Geneartion two (1991 or newer). We may have a need for your generation two sterndrive or parts, please ask, maybe we can save you more.
